Value Study 1

The drawing approach we used was to block in the value pattern. Materials used were vine charcoal, kneaded eraser, and 18x24 paper. The major goal of this lesson was to see/draw the whole before the parts. And other goals of this lesson were to see/draw as a series of relationships.

The medium used was pencil. The major goal of this lesson was to not name the object. Other goals were to use the pencil and eye as one and to celebrate distortion.
