Photoshop Play

This isn't a tutorial but I was playing around and thought it looked really neat. :) I added two-sided planar depth and a dark drop shadow, then i changed the shadow from black to green, and added a whole lot of "noise". I thought it looked like grass or something of that sort crawling up the side of my name...Fun fun fun!

Rough Metal Text Effect-Photoshop-11/18/10

Mine says "Tough". This tutorial was also an "intermediate" level but was honestly the easiest one I've ever done! It only had 4 steps and all were very precise. It didn't take long because you have the option of downloading the background or doing the tutorial for that too...I'm gonna try that for fun to see how it works out!

11/11/2010----Layered Glowing Text Effect

Again, this one was an intermediate level tutorial but easier than I thought! Some steps were a bit confusing but I did the best I could with my knowledge so far. :)

11/11/2010---Slick Supernatural Text Effect

Ok so the one with my name is obviously mine and the other is what it's supposed to look like. :) I used a different font because I couldn't find that one but everything else was pretty easy. This tutorial is an intermediate one but wasn't hard at all and only took me about 30 minutes! So far....

This is what I've been up to. So each month will have a certain "thing" or ingredient that everyone should try at some point in their life. So...to help out, the back of each month will have a recipe that includes that certain ingredient.

Desk Calendar: Trials and Tribulations

For my calendar, I was thinking of doing each month with a different signature dish from around the world. I knew I wanted to do my own illustrations using watercolor and ink.

PSD TUTS!!

So here are my text effect attempts so far. The jelly effect (green) didn't work well around step 7 and after...The gold one doesn't look like the real image. I couldn't figure out some steps either.

Desk Calendar Thoughts...

For this next project I was thinking of a few different ideas. One was a beach themed calendar, high tide and low tide, sun rise and sun set...all of these are different day by day and month by month. Another idea I had was to do all the illustrations by hand using ink and watercolor.

Step 3

Step 3---You fold the map back up, in a different way than you opened it...making sure the cover is still on the outside, Hopefully this will be a little bit of a challenge. Extra---The points are not randomly placed...since it is a United States map, the points are actually Designs schools throughout the U.S....So use those points from step 2, and figure out the names and location of these schools!

Step 2

Step 2---Now that the map is open, You will find the longitude and latitude of each point. After finding the points coordinates, you will find the points in the booklet I will provide and then you'll read what event took place.

Newsletter (outside) Drafts

This is the back (left) and front (right) of my newsletter so far. The front is obviously really plain. I can't figure out if I like it plain or if I really hate it! :) Like I said before, I'm going to try and add some images to spice things up!

Newsletter (inside) Drafts

This is the inside of my newsletter so far!...I definitely plan on adding my own pictures and playing more with the position of type.
